Strategic Management

Strategy that holds up in everyday work.

From defining the goals to the point where the strategy really takes hold, across all industries, in corporations and mid-sized companies alike.

What many are experiencing right now

Simply projecting past growth is no longer enough

Technological, economic, political and social conditions are changing ever faster. Every company has to question itself strategically again and again and reposition itself.

Read the full thought

Strategy work is becoming ever more important and necessary. Technological, economic, political and social conditions are changing faster and with stronger amplitudes. Linearly projecting steady growth as the goal for the future is no longer enough. Every company has to question itself strategically again and again and (re)position itself. That is why it is essential to have a reliable and effective navigation system: the strategy.

Balanced Score Card Business Model Canvas Hoshin Kanri OKR

This is about understanding: market, competition and your own company in interplay.

Stocktaking Market · Competition · Internal analysis
In detail

Strategic analysis is about understanding. This is achieved through a stocktaking in the field between market, competition and your own company (internal analysis). Alongside common market and competitive analyses, we use our DCG business model assessment for this.

The vision of the management and the insight of the leadership team together create clarity and direction.

Vision & mission Reason to exist · Values
Positioning Options · Evaluation · Decision
Business model Customer value · Offerings · Revenue
Strategic goals Breakthrough goals · Clarity of direction
In detail

Based on the stocktaking, a company-specific strategy can now be developed. Through this, and through combining the vision of the management with the insight of the leadership team, clarity and direction are created.

Together we shape the strategy with you so that it secures both the decisive competitive advantage in the market and its feasibility within the organisation. We verify the interplay of strategy and business model, or jointly develop and evaluate the adjustments needed. For this we use methods such as the Balanced Scorecard, the Business Model Canvas and Hoshin Kanri.

After development, it is sustainable implementation that decides. For this we recommend a hybrid approach combining Hoshin Kanri and OKR.

Strategic metrics Measuring success · Management reporting
Strategic initiatives Involvement · Responsibility · Planning process
Operationalisation Implementation · Review and adjustment · Team contribution
In detail

After a strategy has been successfully developed, sustainable implementation is what matters most. This calls for an established method for strategy work and for a systematic management process. We recommend a hybrid approach that optimally combines the Hoshin Kanri and OKR methods. This ensures a transparent, measurable and coordinated strategy plan with consistent goal alignment, anchored cross-functionally with unambiguous responsibilities. The operationalisation of the goals and the necessary dynamic adaptability are ensured by our agile Total Strategy Management approach.
